Every job we take on runs through the same five steps, and every one of them is a promise you can hold us to: the look is free, the price is fixed before any work, the decision stays yours, the hands are our own, and payment only follows a result.
The price is agreed before any work starts, and most jobs cost nothing unless the data actually comes back.
Ring 0113 322 3083 or fill in the free diagnostic form — tell us the device and what went wrong, and you’ll get straight first advice on the spot, free and with no obligation.
Bring it to our Leeds drop-off at 17th Floor, The Pinnacle on Albion Street, or post it to us fully insured. For a RAID or NAS, just send the disks — each one labelled with its bay position.
Our own engineers work out exactly what failed and what can be recovered, then send you a fixed written quote — usually within 24 to 48 hours of your device arriving.
Nothing chargeable happens until you say yes. On your go-ahead the recovery runs in-house — imaged first, repaired where needed, and your files rebuilt from the copy, never the failing original.
Your recovered files come back on fresh media or by secure transfer. On the great majority of jobs, if the data doesn’t come back, there’s no recovery fee to pay.
Behind the five steps sit the house rules. Imaging before everything: your original media is copied once, gently, and all recovery work happens on the copy — the patient is never gambled with. In-house means in-house: no job is subcontracted, couriered onward, or handled by anyone whose name we don’t know. Fixed means fixed: the written quote is the invoice; complexity discovered later is our problem, not your bill. And honesty over hope: when something is genuinely unrecoverable — fully overwritten data, a wallet with no keys anywhere — you hear it plainly at the diagnostic stage, for free, not after a paid attempt.
The usual shape: the diagnostic is done within 24 to 48 hours of your device arriving, and recovery is finished 3 to 5 working days after you approve the quote. Posting adds a day or two each way, and a genuine emergency can be moved to the front — just say so on the first call.
Then you owe nothing and the device comes back to you — the diagnostic was free and stays free. No pressure, no storage fees for a reasonable decision window, no hard feelings. The quote is information; what you do with it is your call.
The honest print: a small minority of jobs — typically severe physical damage needing expensive donor parts, or forensic-grade work — are quoted with a diagnostic or attempt fee made clear in writing before you decide. If your job is one, you'll know before committing, never after.
