Once you’ve got a quote, you’re able to either post your device to us from anywhere in Yorkshire, or simply drop it off at our Leeds office in The Pinnacle on Albion Street (drop-offs do not need an appointment). We are experts at recovering failed devices including but not limited to hard disk drives & solid state disks (SSDs), collapsed RAID systems and Network Attached Storage (NAS) boxes, dead USB sticks and memory cards, as well as providing forensically extracted data for use in court proceedings. Businesses throughout the county trust us with their server, NAS and disaster recovery needs. Home users send us that single drive containing all of their family photos. Each project is fully assessed and recovered in-house by our team of experienced engineers, rather than being subcontracted out. The assessment is free, and prior to commencement of any actual work, each job will be priced in writing and fixed. For most projects, you won’t have to pay anything unless your files are successfully recovered.
Search for “data recovery near me” regardless of where you are located within Leeds or West Yorkshire and you’ll find yourself here: we have an actual Leeds location that you can physically visit at The Pinnacle, Albion Street. All data recovery services will be based upon a free diagnosis and fixed quote prior to commencing any work. Hard drive data recovery near me, solid state drives (SSD), RAID system rebuilds and NAS data recoveries, memory cards and other digital storage media are also handled in-house by our own experienced engineers.
Whatever your search terms were (whether they included NAS recovery near me, hard drive recovery near me or data recovery Leeds), the same people are involved. Once we’ve given you a quote, you can come down to our office Monday to Friday (no appointment needed) and drop off your device, or send it to us from anywhere in Yorkshire via insured postal delivery. We will always do free diagnostics and give you a fixed written quote. And as with all of our services, there is no charge on most jobs unless we’re able to retrieve your lost data.
Since 2002, we have been helping people and businesses recover data across Yorkshire. Over this period of time, we have become the “go-to” business that other Yorkshire-based IT companies discreetly send their difficult cases to. Failed servers, collapsed RAID 5 and RAID 10 configurations, NAS devices that will no longer rebuild a RAID set, encrypted disks with BitLocker encryption applied to them, all damaged media due to water or fire damage: these are the types of jobs that normal recovery software can’t handle, which is why these jobs go to our internal engineers who do each job by hand.
Once your unit is in our hands there will be no outsourcing to other companies. All data will remain under our direct control from that point forward through a secure chain of custody. Every situation is different; from one bad laptop hard drive to a business-critical storage system, or even as part of an emergency disaster recovery project, each starts with the same steps: a complimentary diagnostic test, a true assessment of what can be recovered, and a fixed price quote prior to starting any work.
Most people searching for data recovery UK do not seek an outlet on their local high street; they need someone that can care for their hard drive and provide them with an honest reply. The distance is probably the last thing you should be concerned about. Your failed drive will travel very nicely in a foam-lined box; it’s what is happening at the bench which counts, not on the pavement.
We will provide service either way. So if you live in Leeds or elsewhere in Yorkshire, then after getting a price quotation, bring your faulty device to our location on Albion Street (Leeds) by hand. And from Cornwall to the Highlands, and from Cardiff to Norwich, it doesn’t matter where you are: just post your broken item to us. All of the UK is covered by our fully insured postal recovery service. The same free diagnostic report is provided with all quotations; the same fixed quotation is always included regardless of how your items reach us, and in most cases you only pay if we recover your data.
Two things are always consistent regardless of where the drive comes from. All work is completed in-house by our own engineers, never subcontracted or sent to someone else. And your data never leaves the UK. Offshore processing, use of an overseas lab for testing etc. and any other form of data movement outside the UK will not occur. We document the chain of custody at all times, from when it arrives to when it is returned to you.
Several recent cases, with all information for identification removed. In each of those cases all information was verified by us before being sent to the client.
With two drives down, the RAID would not mount, so each of the disks was imaged separately. We then used that data to work out the RAID order and to determine the original parity. Once that was done we used the images as if they were still in their original RAID setup to “rebuild” the virtual version of the RAID. This allowed us to recover all of the live project files intact.
Although the board showed signs of corrosion, the NAND was fine. At chip level we bypassed the controller and instead read the raw flash directly; we also rebuilt the file system and decryption process using this method, which ultimately allowed recovery of all the case files.
The clicking was caused by a failure of the hard drive’s heads. When matched donor heads (replacement heads) were installed into the failed hard drive, and a careful image taken past the damaged area of the hard drive, it became possible to rebuild the photo library from a copy instead of trying to recover data from the failing drive itself.
The disk is never shipped off to some other company (third-party labs) or subcontracted out; each recovery process begins and ends with one of our staff engineers. With twenty years’ experience (since 2002) of dealing with countless failed drives, RAID systems and unreadable cards, if you’re going to lose your data, we’ll probably figure that out early on as well.
Each recovery will be done by our engineers, and none are ever subcontracted or sent off-site for work.
Since 2002 we’ve had experience recovering data from nearly every type of storage possible (hard drives, SSDs, RAID systems, NAS devices, servers, memory cards), so we know quickly what’s recoverable.
Registered data recovery company with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) (registration number ZC173784). Fully compliant with all aspects of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we can provide you with a signed non-disclosure agreement if required.
A NAS that will not rebuild itself. A server whose RAID configuration has failed. A hard drive making a clicking sound. A ransom note on a shared drive. The route to getting data back for the client is always the same. We get an image of their device. It gets worked on by one of our internal engineers. And then we ship it back out to them.
We have no call centre and no drives sent quietly elsewhere: just a Leeds data recovery service run by our own in-house engineering team, twenty years at the bench, and our own equipment and patience to take on cases other firms hand back.
For most jobs, there’s absolutely nothing due unless we have recovered the lost files, and you can review the complete list of files for yourself prior to committing one single penny.
Our engineers will open and image your drive themselves; it is never sent out to a subcontractor or third party.
All diagnostic work is done without obligation, and as we provide a fixed written quotation for the recovery before anything begins, there are no surprises on the bill you receive.
Once you have received a quote, simply drop off your device at our Leeds office (Monday to Friday 9am–5:30pm) without an appointment, or send it to us insured and trackable from wherever you may be.
Each job is worked upon in sequence using decades of bench experience; no queue-jumping, no shortcuts.
Get a quote beforehand, and take your device into our Leeds branch in The Pinnacle, Monday to Friday 9am–5:30pm (no need for an appointment) or send it to us by post (fully insured postal recovery covers the entire United Kingdom).
All jobs get a complimentary diagnosis, with no fee for most of these cases unless we’re able to recover your information; also, our team has experience dating back to 2002. Start whenever you’re ready.
