The decode: the invisible M.2, the trap, and the sequence
What "doesn't show in BIOS" means on an M.2: for the BIOS to list an NVMe drive, the drive's controller must wake, boot its own firmware, and present itself on the PCIe bus — the solid-state version of the identity announcement this archive decodes for spinning drives.
